ALL DONE!!!

I'm dropping y'all a note to let you know I have arrived in "Chicagoland" safe and sound. The trip was very enjoyable. We left around 5, had dinner at CC's pizza and headed on into the sunrise. The trip through New Mexico was fairly uneventful except spitting and cursing when we hit Tucumcari - site of the last breakdown on our trip out to NM. We crossed Texas (or TexASS as my sisters called it the whole freakin' state), saw the big cross and couldn't help but notice that everything - bugs included - really do seem to be bigger. I mistakenly sang the Oklahoma musical theme song on entering OK and we heard it the rest of the way - compliments of Sheila. We pulled into cheapy motel X at about 2:00 in the morning and Sheila accidentally hit the world's biggest pothole knocking the car off the dolly. It was way to dark to do anything about it, so we figured we would look into in it in the morning. When it was light we saw it was much worse than we originally thought. We finally got the car off the dolly through several engineering feats and drove car, truck and crippled dolly to Oklahoma city where the Ryder people said they could fix it. Magically, during lunch at IHOP, the tow dolly fairy appeared and fixed the dolly then disappeared just as quickly. And we were underway again at about 3:00 that afternoon. Hitting Missouri, the "Show Me" state, we all flashed the oncoming traffic and laughed about it until Springfield. We really wanted to make it home that night, so we took turns driving and tried to get some sleep to no avail. We pulled into my new Home Sweet Home at 5:00 am on Monday and crashed.

I am unpacking my very last box and am looking into storage for the rest. I have WAY more crap then I ever dreamed and don't care if I see most of it for years to come. My folks have been great, my woodshop is set up at Mary Jane's and I am almost ready to get back to work. Thanks to all of you that helped and made it the fastest move in the history of moves. Know that I love you all and miss you! Talk to you soon.
